Karen Lynne Homan, 54, of Union, Oregon, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 surrounded by friends and family. At her request, there will be no service.
She was born in Baker, Oregon on March 3, 1965, to Richard Harold Homan and Fern Homan Searles both of Baker City, Oregon.
Karen enjoyed needlepoint and cross-stich, making many gifts for family and friends. She was an avid reader, as well as a poet and writer. Karen loved old westerns from Gene Autry to John Wayne. Her music included Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash and Eddy Raven. She started collecting Barbie dolls when she was 10 years old.
Karen is survived by her mother, Fern Homan; sisters, Linda Weldon of Washington state and Julie Homan of Oregon and her brothers, Larry (Mary) Hunter of Idaho, Allan Hunter (Sheral) of Oregon and John Hunter (Janice) of Oregon.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Richard Homan and brother, Jimmy Hunter, brother-in-law, Steven Weldon and Niece Samantha Weldon.
