Keegan Pierce Steele, 20, of La Grande, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at his residence. His family describes him as a loving caring friend and dad. A Celebration of Life will be held at Loveland Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00pm.
Keegan was born on March 22, 1998 in La Grande, Oregon to Dan Steele and Sandra Parsons. He was a beautiful bald baby boy that his family immediately fell in love with. His mom always told him “there is no love greater than a mother’s love.”
Keegan loved everyone he met. He had a huge heart and was always encouraging to those around. He had recently been accepted into Eastern Oregon University and it was a huge accomplishment for him, as his dream was to help people with what he had been struggling with in life. He was enrolled to graduate with a psychology degree.
Keegan loved spending time with his family, children and friends. He enjoyed writing and drawing. He was an artist at heart and loved making knives. He always loved the way he looked and worked on himself through lifting weights.
Keegan is survived by his three best friends (children), Philiandra Lynn, Maxon Lee and Isabella Dawn; parents, Sandra Parsons of La Grande, OR and Dan Steele of (Peggy Reiss) of Perry, OR; brothers, Chris Parsons (Mandi) of Union, OR, and Tyler Steele of Hubbard, OR; sister, Katie Baker (Dan) of Boise, ID; nieces, Makenna, Raileigh and Kardyn Parsons, niece, Ella Baker and nephew Dylan Baker; aunts and uncles, Gary and Robert Parsons, Toni Harding, Cheri Evanoff, Danelle Bebee, and Chris, Matt, Brian and Scott Steele; many cousins and loved ones. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Dan and Betty Steele; maternal grandparents, Phyllis and Dewey Knight, and nephew, Draek Parsons.
