Roselynne “Jackie” Davis, 78, of La Grande, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. A service will be held later in the spring.
Jackie was born on July 8, 1940, in Pendleton, Oregon to Jimmie and Dorthy “Dottie” Luciani Brown. She resided in Hermiston, OR; Fruitland, ID; Odessa, TX; Dallas Ft. Worth, TX; Apache Junction, AZ and La Grande, OR. She attended schools in Hermiston Oregon and graduated from La Grande, High School. She married William A. Davis in 1961. The were married for 61 years.
Jackie and Bill operated their own business throughout her life. Jackie was a military wife living in Spokane, WA for the birth of their first 2 children at Fairchild Air Force Base. She enjoyed playing pool and darts. She was an avid sports lover watching golf and the NBA. She was a member of the Eagles, American Legion and a Girl Scout Leader. Jackie’s biggest accomplishments in life were her children and her family. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Jackie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was also a lover of animals, and their home was always filled with dogs, cats and birds.
Jackie is survived by her husband, William “Bill”; children, Lynnie “Iky” Cross (William) of La Grande, OR, Ray A. Davis (Bobbi) of Middleton, ID, Justin J. Davis (Nancy) of New Plymouth, ID; sisters, Connie Williams (Ray) of Walla Walla, WA and Willy Myers of La Grande, OR; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Dottie; son, Billy Davis; brother, Jiggs Brown and nephew, Jimmy Brown.
